Welcome to Santa Rosa Creek Commons

a Housing Cooperative

BASIC INFORMATION:

Santa Rosa Creek Commons, Santa Rosa, California, USA
Formed: 1968   Established: 1982

Santa Rosa Creek Commons is a limited-equity housing co-op for all ages located on two acres in downtown Santa Rosa, 60 miles north of San Francisco. We have 27 units from studios to three bedrooms, a community room, laundry, garden, and wooded creek.

We wish to live cooperatively and resolve conflicts peacefully. Issues are decided by consensus. Every adult is on the board of directors. All are asked to work at least eight hours per month by serving on two committees and taking part in monthly cleanups. We manage and maintain the property. We have a monthly potluck and social and educational events. This is a non-smoking campus.

Members buy shares, the price based on size of unit ($12,000 to $20,000), and pay monthly charges of $600 to $850.

For all applicants, the process of getting on our waiting list includes several interviews, participation in a work day, a social event, and attending two board meetings and one committee meeting.
